12K miles on it and weather checked I Know I would change the tire. You don't even want to go down the highway and blow a tire. I just got done changing the tire on my bike and it was at 12K but didn't look too bad outside of tread was getting down. Stories that I've heard of guys loosing a tire on the highway is scarey and I don't even want to visit that site. Either way, change the tire and go from there. I don't want to hear of you goin' down because of it.
